fire safety – Awareness, Be Prepared, and Caution – you can reduce the risk of fire and protect your loved ones and

Awareness:
- Install smoke alarms on every level of your home and test them monthly.
- Educate your family about the sound of the smoke alarm and what to do if it goes off.
- Keep flammable items away from heat sources and teach children about fire safety.

Be Prepared:
- Create a fire escape plan with two ways out of every room and practice it regularly.
- Keep fire extinguishers in key areas of your home and teach everyone how to use them.
- Have a designated meeting place outside in case of fire.

Caution:
- Never leave cooking food unattended and keep flammable objects away from the stove
- Use space heaters with caution, keeping them at least three feet away from anything that can burn.
- Avoid overloading electrical outlets and use power strips with built-in circuit breakers.
